Have you ever wondered about the legend of the Stork?  I have, I remember asking my parents, "Where did my little sister come from?", they told me the stork brought her.  Being a six year old, I thought that made pretty good sense.

     Over time, the symbol of the stork has meant the arrival of a new baby.  Years ago, parents did not speak about reproduction to their children, so parents often told their kid's that the stork, a symbol of prosperity and happiness had delivered them.

     Today that legend continues, the topic of child birth is still a difficult subject to talk about and storks continue to be synonymous with childbirth.  A stork in the yard brings joy to a family, because it means yet another new beginning.
